Mise-En-Scene

Camera

Wide Shots and Extreme Close Ups are the two main types of shots that I will be incorporating within my music video. I am using the extreme close up for shots particularly on my models eyes and lips, as these are the most seductive and gripping aspects of any face.

In order to present my idea's of using slow, fast and rewinding shots, I have found that Giggs' Lock Doh' music video explores just this within the beginning. I want to use these varying shots to add depth and integument to my music video, as I believe shots like this are more appealing to my target audience, and they keep audiences interested.

Lighting

Although I am relying on my window's natural light, I am also using a three point lighting kit, to enhance my models and to eliminate any harsh shadows or unwanted markings.

I also believe that all of this strong bright lighting will enhance my models make-up, which is my overall focus point of my media music video.

Acting

I have deliberately not picked any models who have done any official acting, as I want each of their shots to appear natural.

For this shot of Molly, I simply positioned the camera and made the shot focussed and Molly did the rest. She has automatically tilted her head downwards. This movement and how she is looking directly into my camera's lens creates a natural seductive nature, which is not too overpowering.

Another example of natural seductive actions is when I arranged with one of my models, Grace, to run some test shots and pictures, I did not ask her to part her lips, she did this naturally and this is exactly what I want.

Makeup

Seeing as make-up is the main factor for my music video, I will be exploring the use and effect of models with and without various product.

As previously mentioned, each model will be filmed applying various factors and elements of make-up, meaning towards the end of the music video

Make-up is really important in any music video anyway as it has now become a convention for all actors or models used to be seen as having 'desirable' looks.

Props

Below are just some of the props that will be incorporated throughout my music video. I will be focussing heavily on the products used by my models, even including shots of just the products alone.

Setting

The picture to the left is a photo taken of the white wall I will be using for the background for the majority of my shots.

The picture to the right is the change
in background that I will be using
for my last shot of my music video,
as this is where all my models will
be together for the first time, all
without make-up on, standing next
to one another against the back-
ground.
